The Russian Tea Room
Splurge why don’tcha? This place is a trip. The waiters are so attentive that they end up asking you several times about the same thing, and end up being perhaps slightly annoying. Then again, there weren’t that many people there when I went so they might have just been all revved up on coffee with no one to serve. It’s certainly better to be over-attentive than under so I’m not really complaining. What I must say is that the food was absolutely wonderful and the atmosphere was decadent to say the least, and you can practice your Russian to impress those amazing Russian tangueros and tangueras.

There are a gazillion other great restaurants in NYC. To find more, I recommend checking out the New York Magazine Restaurant guide. Search by location and price, and then always check out their critic's picks. They haven't steered me wrong yet!
